Parent Involvement at GEMS Jumeirah Primary School
GEMS Jumeirah Primary School encourages parents to be as involved as they can in school life, there are many ways to get involved!
Parents can offer welcome assistance in the classroom in areas such as reading, hall displays, math’s passport and excursions. We also have a very active Parents association which run various activities during the school year and is a great way to start helping in the school. Events such as International Day, Pink Bake Sale, Santa’s Visit, Spring Fair, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and End of Year Parties are organised for our students.
Becoming a class representative or sharing this role with another parent is an excellent way to get involved in school life as well as welcoming new families to the school. This also provides opportunities for social interaction for class parents and children outside of school.
Parent teacher interviews happen twice a year, and regular information sessions are held during school time, and in the evenings about the curriculum and ways you can help your child’s learning at GEMS Jumeirah Primary School.
At GEMS Jumeirah Primary school we believe that parent’s opinions matter, we have a Parental Engagement Council that meets on a monthly basis to give feedback on all areas if the children’s learning and teaching. Working closely with the teachers to improve and innovate the education on offer.
All JPS parents are welcome to be a part of these activities and new ideas are encouraged.
