The school campus and facilities have been specifically designed to enhance teaching and learning, providing a bright, well-resourced and motivational environment for our students.
Classrooms
The right learning environment is a key to the success of GEMS JPS and each spacious classroom is light and well resourced.
ICT resources are readily available and well integrated within each classroom including student PC, an interactive whiteboard and projector offering excellent teaching resources.
The Library and Discovery Centre
It contains an extensive range of books, materials and resources, including reading corners, study areas and PC workstations that enable students to access information from the library and World Wide Web databases.
All children attend the library to select books, learn library skills and etiquette, browse or read, thereby inculcating in them a healthy habit of reading and book appreciation.
Music Studios
We have two well-resourced music rooms enhanced with an impressive collection of tuned and un-tuned percussion instruments from around the world.
The children have the opportunity to study a wide variety of orchestral instruments and the piano with our experienced peripatetic teaching staff, providing students with opportunities to expand their understanding and appreciation of music as well as practice their performance skills. There is a school Band, a school Choir and beginners Violin Group as well as Music Technology Club and Recorder groups.
ICT Labs
In addition to ICT resources dispersed throughout the school, GEMS JPS has two exclusive ICT suites, which feature workstations for students, multi-media projectors, smart boards and wireless technology.
