Hello and welcome to the Year 5 Weekly Newsletters! Each week I will write to you about upcoming events, what the children are learning and any successes that should be celebrated. I will also include any websites that may be useful to look at with your children at home.
My name is Jessica Wright and this is my fifth year teaching in Dubai, before which I taught in London. I am Head of Year 5 at JPS and am always happy to say hello and meet with you.
At JPS we use a “Creative Curriculum” approach in school and are excited about the enthusiasm the children have shown in previous years towards the topics we study. The Creative Curriculum combines different subject areas to create a thematic approach to learning. The topic areas will change throughout the year focusing on Science, History, Geography, Art, Design, Well Being as well as Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
