Back to School September 2020
We are delighted to confirm that GEMS Jumeirah Primary School will be offering 100% on-site education for all children with a face-to-face/blended model.
In line with the KHDA directive, we will also offer 100% simultaneous access to online learning for all children whose family request it, as we understand that some parents would prefer to keep their children at home a little longer, whether this be for the first two weeks or until half term. This provision will be reviewed after our half term break. Whatever option you choose, both options will have the same learning commitment every day and are offered at exactly the same rate.
Included on this page is the Return To JPS – Guide for Parents, which outlines our procedures and practices and how we will be keeping our students safe while they are in school, as well as FAQs. Please be assured that the safety of our children, parents and staff is of the utmost importance to us and we are fully committed to supporting the health, well-being and continued academic development of the students in our care.
Our re-opening plans have been verified by both the KHDA and GEMS and they centre around three critical factors:
- The safety of your children across all age groups at JPS. We will adhere to all Health and Safety regulations without exception.
- The well-being of your children. We want all students to be happy to be back at school, excited to see their friends and at all times feel safe and reassured that JPS is doing everything possible to keep them safe while providing high quality education.
- To provide an outstanding education that is uncompromised by the changes in delivery. We will ensure that every lesson is supporting the progress of your children, whether delivered face-to -face in the classroom or via our simultaneous online access model.
