Aileen Beardsmore

Head of Enrichment

I have enjoyed teaching at JPS for over 15 years and especially valued my time working within the Enrichment Department and leading the Gifted and Talented program. I have taught across KS1 and KS2, specializing in Mathematics and English. It has been a privilege working with all the children whom in turn have taught me so much about different learning styles, barriers to learning and individual needs. I believe that the best gift you can give any child is ‘confidence’ and nothing is more rewarding than seeing that smile.

I grew up in Zimbabwe and then lived and studied in Cape Town, South Africa, where I completed my B.A Degree. In addition, I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Nottingham and a Certificate in Teaching Children with Dyslexia.

I love the outdoors and travelling and have had the privilege of living in Indonesia, New Zealand and now Dubai. Outside of school I enjoy spending time with family and friends as well as horse riding, reading, yoga and art.
