Foundation Stage
In the Foundation Stage, children learn through structured play planned around the seven interconnected areas of learning and development of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, which is based on a practical, hands-on approach and is crucial for igniting children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and for building their capacity to learn, form relationships and thrive. Children are guided with care through their stages of development and the expectations of the seven areas, namely:
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
