Enrichment Teacher

As an Enrichment Teacher at JPS, I have been privileged to engage with students from Year 1 to Year 6, dividing my time between the Connect and Enrichment departments. This has afforded me the opportunity to cater to the diverse needs of our student body, fostering growth and development across various age groups. I am a firm believer that education is a lifelong journey, everyone’s path is slightly different but it's the journey that shapes us and makes us the person we become. As teachers, our job is to ensure that our impact on each and every student furthers their development and enriches their journey so they can become the very best version of themselves.

Originally hailing from Scotland, I grew up in a family of teachers so it was only natural for me to follow them into the profession. I gained my Bachelor of Education degree from St. Andrews College, affiliated with Glasgow University, and then furthered my own education by gaining a Master of Education in Applied Linguistics a few years later. Having travelled from an early age, I knew I wanted to explore the world and teaching was the ‘ticket’ to that exploration. In 1995, I left Scotland for Dubai and it has been my home ever since.

I still love to travel and have been lucky enough to visit some amazing places. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling to the places that are still on my list, as well as enjoying pottery, art and spending time with friends and family.
