Maxine Schreiber
Assistant Principal: EYFS, KS1 & Environments
Originally from North Yorkshire in England, Ms Schreiber completed her Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education with a specialism in Early Years at Manchester Metropolitan University. Her career began in Manchester, where she spent six years teaching in rich, multicultural school communities. While working in FS1, she took on her first leadership role as Science Lead. Three years later, she moved to her second school, becoming Head of FS1 and EYFS SEND Lead.
In August 2013, Ms Schreiber embraced the exciting opportunity to move to Dubai and join JPS, a decision she describes as one of the most rewarding of her career. She initially joined the Year 1 team and became Head of Year 1 after her first year. Since then, her leadership journey has included serving as Head of FS2 and Phase Leader for FS1 to Year 1, whilst teaching in Year 2, FS1, and FS2. Ms Schreiber is now proud to be the Assistant Principal for FS1 to Year 2, as well as the Deputy Safeguarding Lead. In her role, she works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the JPS ethos, ‘everyone welcome, everyone belongs, everyone achieves’, remains central to all aspects of school life. She is committed to nurturing a learning community where every child feels valued and supported.
Having recently completed her NPQSL, Ms Schreiber continues to deepen her understanding of effective school leadership and is dedicated to mentoring and supporting colleagues across the Early Years and lower primary phases. Her career path and academic training have shaped her passion for play based learning, where children’s natural curiosity drives exploration, problem solving, critical thinking, and joyful discovery.
Beyond school, Ms Schreiber treasures spending time with her daughter, whether they are at the pool, the beach, or discovering new places together. She also enjoys live music and trying out new cafés and restaurants with friends.
